About the speaker:
Helmuth Gehart has been Assistant Professor of Tumor and Stem Cell Dynamics at the Institute of Molecular Health Sciences at ETH Zurich since 2020. By combining organoid technology, advanced reporter systems and single-cell sequencing, his research seeks to uncover the common guiding principles of regeneration and tumorigenesis. His ultimate goal is to devise new treatment strategies that enhance the inherent regenerative capacity of damaged tissues and prevent tumor spread.
