In a recent publication in "Oncogene", members of the TRR 417 explored CAF dynamics in CRC.

The members of our TRR 417, Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Naschberger (FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg), Prof. Dr. Katharina Imkeller and Charles G. Anchang, M.Eng. (both Goethe University Frankfurt) joined their expertise with Prof. Dr. Michael Stürzl and Richard Demmler, M.Sc. (both FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg) to explore CAF dynamics in colorectal cancer (CRC). They identified and validated novel “highly expressed CAF markers” that allowed to resolve and trace a co-existing stable and plastic fibroblast network in CRC, providing a framework for future functional and translational studies.
